Pop-Up Market Featuring BWAC Artists Heads to Red Hook

Almost exactly a year after devastating fires ravaged the warehouse that housed the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) on Van Brunt Street, a makers market featuring many of the affected artists is popping up in Red Hook. 

Brooklyn Pop-Up, which hosts makers markets around the city, is collaborating with BWAC for a special pop-up market on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20, at Hook Studios’ Dikeman Street location (161 Dikeman St.). 

The market, which will feature over 60 artists, includes many local artists who will be selling a mix of crafts, prints, pottery, whimsical boxes, cat pillows, bags made from kimonos, hand-made soap, glass and beaded jewelry, and more.

“We are giving BWAC vendors an 80% discount on the vendor fees to help facilitate their comeback,” shared Brooklyn Pop-Up founder, Aimee Kellner.
